With a background in teaching and a passion for educational technology, Laken brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her role. In this blog post, we introduce Laken and share a Q&A session to learn more about her journey and insights.

1️⃣ How long have you been with Exploros?

I have been with Exploros for eleven months.

2️⃣ Why did you join the Exploros team?

I joined the Exploros team because, as a former teacher, I resonated with Exploros and their goal to give every student a voice! The Exploros platform is honestly designed with teachers and students in mind, and I couldn’t ask for a better team to work with!

3️⃣ How do you achieve success in your role at Exploros?

Coming from a teaching background, I achieve success in my role by really connecting with educators on a personal level. I know what being in the classroom is like and can share many experiences with the wonderful educators we work with!

4️⃣ What is the best advice you’ve ever received in your career at Exploros?

The best advice I have ever received in my career at Exploros is “to be myself, and to let my personality shine in every aspect of my job.”

5️⃣ Tell us about your career path leading to Exploros.

Before I worked for Exploros, I was a teacher for four years. I taught 1st grade and 5th grade ELA/Reading. After I left the classroom, I wanted to get into the Educational Technology space and transition my love for education into a new role.

6️⃣ What do you love most about what you do at Exploros?

What I love most about working at Exploros is getting to work with so many educators all over the country. Not only do I get to work with these amazing professionals, but I also help them achieve their goals and often hear them say, “I love Exploros and wish I had had it my entire teaching career!”

7️⃣ Share a surprising or fun fact about you.

A fun fact about me is that I love to rock climb, hike, and do anything outdoors!
